All For The Kids - How the Lammers family journeyed across the world looking for their future...and found it!

Project Brief

In 1954 Hannelore Lammers was nine years old. Up until that point she had lived her life with her family in Cuxhaven, Germany. That was also the year the family emigrated to Australia – and the rest, as they say, is history! By late 1996 Hanna was the last one standing from the five family members who sailed on the Skaubryn from the port of Bremerhaven. She wanted to honour the lives of her siblings and parents by finding a way to document as many of the yarns, experiences, laughs, struggles, tragedies and triumphs that had occurred. A chance meeting led to me becoming her mentor. I knew we had a gem of a book in the making. Hanna trusted me to guide her in the telling of a remarkable story.

From the Client

“Simon, what can I say, you are brilliant. I am overwhelmed by how you put all the dribble into a story. I have just finished reading it, amongst many tears. Will read it again tonight with dry eyes. How can I thank you, here is a huge HUG”
